Bali Travel-Diary Part II Gili Islands

Hier kommt der zweite Post über meine Bali-Ferien. Und zwar nehme ich euch mit auf eine Reise auf die wundervolle Gili Trawangan, der grössten Insel der Inselgruppe Gili Islands.

Here comes the second post about my Bali holidays. I take you with me on a journey to the wonderful Gili Trawangan, the biggest of the Gili Islands.

Von Bali ging es mit dem Speed-Boot nach Gili Trawangan. Apropos Speed-Boot. Gemäss Info, die wir erhalten haben, sollte das Speed-Boot innerhalb von ca. 2 Stunden auf Gili Trawangan ankommen, wir waren nach ca. 4 Stunden immer noch auf dem Boot. Tja, wir störten uns nicht weiter, wir waren ja schliesslich in den Ferien und die Luft auf dem Deck war wunderbar frisch – im Vergleich zur Luft auf dem Land.

From Bali we took the speed-boat to Gili Trawangan. Apropos speed-boat. Referred to the info we received, the speed-boat should arrive within 2 hours at Gili Trawangan, after 4 hours, we were still on the boat. Well, we weren’t annoyed or nerved, because we were on holidays and the fresh air on deck was just wonderful – compared to the air on the land.

Nach Ankunft beziehten wir erstmal unser Hotelzimmer in der Samba Village, welches ich nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen kann. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, die Betten bequem und die Dusche unter freiem Himmel war ein Traum. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Samba Village liegt an der “Main Street” der Gili Trawangan und somit sind Restaurants, Bars & Clubs zu Fuss bequem in ein paar Minuten zu erreichen.

After arrival, we first moved into our hotel room in the Samba Village, which I can recommend warmly. The room was very clean, the beds comfortable and the shower in the open was just a dream. The staff was very friendly and obliging. The Samba Village is situated at the “Main Street” so restaurants, bars and clubs are easy accessible in a few minutes by foot.

Eine Fahrradtour rund um die Insel war ein echtes Highlight, da wir ständig irgendwo ein schönes Plätzchen sahen, anhalten und ein wenig verweilen konnten, ehe die Fahrt weiterging.

A bicycle tour around the island was a real highlight, because we saw so many beautiful places, where we could stopp and stay a little, before the trip went on.
